Ann Gerhardt, MD is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Clinical Nutrition. Her overriding interest in wellness has led to work in a variety of settings, which fits her many interests. She currently is a private medical and nutrition consultant out of her office; and, Medical Director for the Sutter Community Hospital’s heart transplant program. DrG is a volunteer medical educator at UCDavis Medical School.
In 1994 she founded a non-profit organization to prevent eating disorders, called We Insist on Natural Shapes. Subsequently she began writing DrG’sMediSense, a newsletter about medical and nutrition issues. The original non-profit and new newsletter merged to form a new organization, Healthy Choices for Mind and Body. To receive free email newsletters, sign up at www.healthychoicesformindandbody.org.
